More Mens shirt cards
Here are some pictures of my final cards...minus the ink smears! LOL! I was so disgusted when I took Saturday's pictures and realized that I had ruined the final card. Oh well...life happens. I was able to make a new card base and then transfer (very carefully) over the embellishments.
- I cut my card base as usual-8.5 x 4 1/4"
- Score sides for fold over flaps at 2 1/8" on either long end.
- Score 1" on each side and just slightly burnish for the creases on the shirt.
- Score along the long end of ONE side at 1 1/4" on back and front. You will want to remove this section from the back of the card (between folds) and then snip on score at 1" on either side of front so that you can fold the collar forward.
- I took a bone folder and carefully worked the collar so that it would lay flat nicely on the front. Secure with dimensionals.
- I used an oval punch for the badge but carefully trimmed the top into a flatter curve.
- The tie is hand trimmed from CS 1x4".
- The knot is a folded bit of CS about 1 1/2x 3/4".
I am hoping to post a bit more than normal this week so keep checking back.
Happy stamping!

Card for a Police Officer
Hello everyone! A friend has a sibling graduating from police academy and requested a card. I actually ended up creating a card that opened in the middle behind the tie. Hopefully I will have time tomorrow morning to take a picture before I send the card off to my friend. This card was the "prototype" for the final copy. It is hard to see but I even scored the shirt to create "folds" in the officer's shirt. Fun!
I am planning to play with the envelope punch board on Sunday and later into the week so check back on Monday to see if I have any new posts. I am envisioning a fun shirt card with the Fresh Prints DSP as a tie. Wouldn't that be fun? The card above is Midnight Muse but I really missed playing with multiple colors for the card tho the Brushed Silver badge (an oval punch I rounded one edge) with gold letters helped break up the blue.
Wouldn't the shirt card make a fabulous Father's Day card or a nice birthday card?
Spring is coming! I almost didn't take the pic outside but the lighting is much better out there. My lawn just looks so sad and brown right now. I can hardly wait to see flowers peeping through the ground.

My Secret SU Pal strikes again!
Wow! Just when I needed a pick-me-up my SU Secret Pal strikes again! I had a package on my door step when I got home from the doctor on Monday. I was kind of low...the mono might be back and I got a phone call that my hubby's grandmother was back in the hospital...but God knew that I needed a boost. What a wonderful God and what a wonderful secret pal! His way is perfect and He will never give me more than I can handle. (-:
I am so excited to see the sunshine again! I am looking forward to planting spring flowers and might just get a head start on that by planting some seeds. My kids always get a charge out of planting seeds and watching them grow in the house. I have the green thumb "bug"!
Here are the goodies that my secret pal sent...don't ask me why the camera thought that the first picture was upside down. Yeesh! Notice the washi tape and dispenser? I adore washi tape and use it ALL over my house!
