Hello and happy Friday to all of you! This is my favorite Friday of the month because I get to meet with a wonderful group of ladies to stamp over our lunch hour! Tonight should be a blast also because Veterans United is hosting a movie in the park for their employees and families. We will get to see the new Lego movie on a big screen, hang out with friends, and have lots of junk food! Can life get any better? LOL! The weather should even start to cool by the weekend so I am looking forward to our evening.
Next month I hope to play with the Medallions dies and stamp set. Fun!

Scallop Tag Topper Treats
Sandi MacIver has a fantastic tutorial out there for these little cuties. My hubby was impressed enough that he requested six of them to take to work...be still my heart! LOL! They can also be converted to egg crates so that a Cadbury Creme egg will fit and not roll out of the pouch. Clever!
Early Espresso CS
Whisper White pigment ink (so I could emboss)

Scallop Tag Topper (pg 221)

- The Early Espresso cardstock was cut at 2x7 1/2".
- Score at 3" and again at 4 1/2".
- Punch each end with the scallop tag punch.
- Before scoring, use a sponge dauber and stencil for the hearts.
- Stamp and emboss your image. Use a chalk marker or white gel pen to personalize!
- I opted to touch up the heart with red ink and Dazzling Diamonds glitter glue because I didn't have Cherry Cobbler dazzling details glue. Sigh! I have a HUGE wish list...
- Fold on the score lines and use Sticky Strip to adhere the candy to the bottom.
- Fold up the sides and tie on a ribbon.

Seize the Cake Shaker Card
Hello and happy Tuesday! I challenged myself to create a shaker card that would incorporate the new scallop tag topper punch. FUN!!!
Stamps: Seize the Cake
Punches: Circle punch 1 3/8" and Scallop Tag Topper
Supplies:
Big Shot
Embossing folder, Decorative Dots (pg 226)
3/8" Stitched Ribbon, Mossy Meadow (pg 207)
Window Sheet
Shaker Frames (pg 205)
In Color Sequin Assortment (pg 208)
Happy stamping!
Stef
- Base is 8 1/2x5 1/2, folded and then trim one side 2" down the length
- White embossed strip for front is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8
- Moonlight paper is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8
- To create the tag toppers cut a 2" strip and punch each end. Score each end at 1" and then cut each end at 2" (the tag topper will be 2" and scored in the middle at 1").
- Use a circle punch to cut the window on the front and a stamped insert. I used a square window sheet and shaker frames for the window.

Blendabilities Masking card
Hello and happy Monday! This was a fun card that I CASED on Pinterest; if you are interested in looking at the original card be sure to check out my Pinterest boards. This card has the leaves stamped in Pear Pizzaz but I opted to stamp in Memento so that the leaves can be colored in Olive Olive blendabilites at my Blendabilities club. If I had brown alcohol markers I would have added a bit of that color into the centers of the flowers.
To mask, stamp the focal point or largest flower onto the card. Stamp the same flower onto a post it note and cut out but be sure to have some sticky on the back. Next, I laid the post it note over the original flower and then stamped the side flowers. I stamped the side flower onto a post it note, cut and then laid it over the card front to allow me to stamp the leaves. I didn't even ink up the stems for the most part because I just preferred the leaves.
Happy stamping!

Thank you cards
Julie sent pics of these darling cards. She was working on a packet of cards to give to a friend and was having fun using the same stamp set and color palettes but with different techniques. She is so talented!!!
I had a wonderful afternoon visiting with my friend Shirley. She lives near the Lake and has such a lovely home. Today was her first official club day and she did a simply smashing job. Those ladies are going to be so blessed to have her as a demonstrator! I am just kicking myself because her projects were cards but I did not take any pictures. Isn't that horrible? She had kit theme and the cards were super easy but looked classy.
I plan to post my "mailbox candy" soon. Today I came back from Shirley's house and found an amazing packet in my mailbox. Wait until you see all of the amazing things in the envelope! I was so thankful!

An Open Heart card
Hello and happy Saturday to all of you. Do you remember the card that my friend Suzanne sent to me during convention? I promised my take on the card and above is what I created. I am not sure that the hearts really go but they did tie in with the sentiment. I will probably sponge the flowers and butterfly next time instead of the direct to paper technique. I did have fun and that is important. I do see the need to get that cool Hexagon Hive (pg 228 #132965) thinlit to use for stenciling; my guess is that they actually inked up the thinlit and stamped with it. Cool, right? Instead of stamping the butterfly I ran it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan folder and inked it up.
I think that my next step is to do some research to see how folks are using the new stencils because they are hot right now and very afford-ably priced. I love things that give lots of bang for the buck!
Happy stamping!
