Alcohol Marbling Card

Hello ladies!  I fought with this technique, as cool as it looks!  Before I go any further here is the tutorial for the alcohol marbling technique. 

When I followed the directions it seemed as if the first color that I used dried very fast and I was left with just bits of color on my marbled glossy paper.  You can really notice it on the second image I posted.  If you look you will see just bits of the Olive color and it definitely was NOT the look for which I was striving.  LOL!  In the last image I opted to fix a sample I didn't like by coloring with only one color (darkest neutral) and quickly spraying with the rubbing alcohol.  It seemed to really work well.

Update:  Club went well and one lady discovered that she could blend the colors with her finger after she spritzed the alcohol.  You could use another baggie, rubber glove or bit of plastic wrap to blend the colors and reactivate the "oldest" color.  The Dollar store has 50% rubbing alcohol and I definitely recommend going for the higher concentrate.  

I intend to swing by a drugstore to pick up another rubbing alcohol because mine was only 50% whereas the tutorial shows 70%.  I don't know if it will help but I will definitely be demonstrating to my ladies to layer one color at a time, starting with the lightest color.  You don't even want to know how much time I spent on this one card!  LOL!

Christmas Baubles fast card

Hello!  I dashed home from grocery shopping to finish up this card.  This card is clean and simple.  I love any excuse to use my washi tape; but then again, I tend to hoard it as well.  (-:  Yikes...the stores are getting crazy.  I am definitely going to plan to be in town early from now until after the New Years.  I don't enjoy waiting in lines.  LOL!  More time for stamping?

Christmas Bauble Gold Glitter Easel Card

It took me a few hours but I am finally sitting down to add commentary to this post.  LOL!  This was certainly a fun card to create and it is full of bling!  Even my daughter, who usually turns her nose up at stamping to be her own person, wowed over the bling.  Mission accomplished!

Dimensions:
1.  Cut a 12x12 piece of cardstock in 4" strips.
2.  Score at 4", 6", and 8"
3.  Use sticky strip on one of the 2" sections to fold up your card.

Be sure to use a dimensional under the greeting on the inside of the card so that you can prop up the top.

Christmas Bauble card

Hello and happy Tuesday!  I am once again behind in my posting but we just had several people sick at home with a nasty fall cold.  Phew!  I am so glad that everyone seems to be on the mend again.

The top card is before sponging and the bottom card is after sponging.  I had my heart set on using the Santa Washi tape in the background.  I experimented a bit with the Filigree folder and really love it; I tried a navy background but it just wasn't large enough so I pulled out the Oval framelits to save the day!

Update...I just wasn't happy with the ornament and so I remade it and colored it differently. Lol!

Grateful To You Card

Hello and happy Thursday.  As I was giving a spelling test to my daughter I realized that I had forgotten to post in a few days.  Sheesh!  How hard can I make it?  LOL!  I have the posts "mostly" ready to go and just need to post a few words and click a button.  (-: 

My downline Shirley made this card and envelope and sweetly shared them with me for my blog.  Thanks, Shirley!  I hope to stamp up a storm this weekend now that my family is on the mend from the sneaky sneezes.  Even my darling hubby stayed home from work today.  As soon as I administer the necessary tests today I am going to sneak off and hit the stores for some much needed shopping.  The poor fridge is starving to death upstairs!

Blendabilities cards and techniques

Buggies and Booties Baby card and Weekly Deals for 11/02/14 week

Yikes!  I was sitting here stamping my little heart out making Christmas cards when it hit me (not painfully though) that I had not posted yet this week!  In all fairness, I was really under the weather yesterday but today is a new day and a friend delivered dairy free/nut free chocolate ice cream so I am MUCH better today.  LOL!  I hope that you enjoy the card today and I will try to post pics of my Christmas cards soon.

My neighbor recently had a baby boy and my Heart pal sent the great embossed cardstocks so it was the perfect project!  I pulled out a retired SU set for the baby cards; it is one of my favorite baby sets.I was rushing the coloring a bit because I still have one more project to go.  LOL!  Hope this provides inspiration!
