New In Colors Sampler

These are handy to put on a jump ring.  I make technique cards in this size (about 1/3 sheet of cardstock) and put them on a jump ring (book binders ring) for quick inspiration.  Sometimes the colors in the catalog are a bit off from the actual color so it is nice to see "in person".

Happy stamping!

New In Colors card plus Watercolor Impressions technique

This was a fast, fun card to create!  I was hunting for my Honeycomb folder (still irked that I can't find it!!!) but settled for the Mosaic folder to use with this technique.

I sponged Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow inks, from ink pads, onto one side of the Impressions folder.  I was careful to select the side that has raised interiors.  Spritz water onto the folder and then press the watercolor paper down onto the ink.  I did NOT run it though the Big Shot.  Fun and fast!

Happy stamping!

Washi Tape Card

Hello to everyone!  One of my friends requested a card with Washi tape on it.  Very fun!  I am addicted to that tape and tend to hoard it rather than use it.  I will mention this...don't buy the cheap tape even if it tempts you.  Someone gave me some cheap washi tape and I fight with finding and peeling the end.

I use washi tape EVERY day!  It labels my bins in my pantry.  It labels my spice tins on the side of the fridge.  It labels leftovers in the fridge (so folks don't stand in the door of the fridge and moan, "There is nothing to eat!").  It labels my diy cosmetic containers...ok, you get the picture!  A home without washi tape is truly a sad home indeed.

The top card is one that a friend sent to me so I used it for inspiration since I had the same gingham tape.  I wanted to use as many retiring items as possible though so the bottom card is my spin on the layout.

Happy Father's Day Card from Julie

Isn't this a great card?  Julie texted this one to me the other day.  This card is all Stampin' Up! but some of the goodies are retired.  She stamped and embossed and then sponged to get the fun colors.  What a woman!  LOL!  There is color, texture and layers but the card is not too frilly or feminine for a man.  She also used the stamp-a-ma-jig to get all of her sentiments neatly lined up on the white cardstock.

Happy stamping!

Weekly Deals May 13

Happy stamping to everyone!  I have an order going in sometime in the next few days so here is a hostess code if you are interested in ordering these goodies online.  9HAYFW4G

I am feeling better every day again so that is a bonus.  Today I am working on samplers of the new In Colors and that is SO much fun!  I need to open up the new ink pads and put the stickers on the ends.  Maybe I can get it done before my daughter notices and does it for me.  LOL!

Pine Tree Card from Julie

Hello to everyone!  Julie made this adorable card and texted me a pic for the blog.  The scrapbook paper is a retired Stampin' Up! paper.  She also used copic markers for the tree which makes me super excited to think about the new Blendabilities alcohol markers that SU will be selling soon!  I can hardly wait...

I have been symptom free for about a week so that is exciting.  If I can go one month without a flare up of mono then it will be in remission.  I am optimistic.  I even beat a cold that the kids passed to me so that was wonderful.  When I get my next batch of blood work we will see if my immune system has turned back on and beaten the strep.  I am hopeful because I really miss stamping with all of my friends and customers...

Happy stamping!

Congratulations Card for a Graduate

Hello to everyone!  I have my mojo back!  Hooray!  The clock is counting down the weeks.  So far I am almost at two weeks of no mono symptoms but I have to make it to four weeks.

I needed two graduation cards so I made four cards, just in case.  I wasn't sure of the school colors so I just used our local high school colors since one of the graduates is from that school.  Everyone else won't care as long as there is money inside the card.  LOL!  Money is always the right size and color.

The weather is so gorgeous but warm enough that we had to turn on the AC yesterday.  I just hate to pay money for cooling the house but really enjoy sleeping well at night.  LOL!  I have a huge pile of cedar mulch in front of the house but keep my outdoor activities in check.  My son keeps track of the time and enjoys herding everyone inside the house when we are done.  Yesterday I finished the flower bed under the kitchen window; my daughter and I planted hostas and Moses in a Basket plants while my son brought us loads of cedar mulch to keep the bugs and weeds in check.  When we are finished I will try to post pictures to show off the garden.  My hubby has put in quite a few flower beds for me because our yard is built on the side of a hill.  Last year the weeds got away from me because I was so ill but this year I was smart and bought a truckload of mulch from a neighbor with a tree service.  Sure beats buying it by the bag at Wal-Mart!

These exclusive alcohol-based marker sets, come in a 3-pack of light, medium and dark shades (of the same color ), and provide your projects a more saturated look with blended colors. We recommend using Stampin' Up! Whisper White Cardstock with your Stampin' Up! Blendabilities, but any one of our cardstocks would work just as well. And since traditional alcohol markers require a bit of training and aren't as accessible, we've developed videos to ensure that Blendabilities are easy-to-use for everyone!

What Sets Them Apart:
