Happy Birthday swap card

Here is another favorite of my club ladies on Monday night.  It opens up in a fun fold so I may have to borrow this design and substitute in another stamp set.  It is a nice card and very well made.  I wish that I could give credit to someone but there was no name or list of ingredients included.

Happy stamping!

Versamarker Shadow card

This card is for my monthly swap and it turned out nicely.  I used the Everything Eleanor stamp set for the swirl in the background and the flower & label.  The sentiment comes from the Bring on the Cake stamp set.  I love them both!

Frankenstein Punch Art

Yesterday I found perennials at Westlakes for only $1 each so this morning I was outside planting and documenting my gardens.  Travis and Ethan kept working on my new flower beds near the driveway.  I am super excited about planting in those beds but it may be next year before I can plant.  LOL!  It is almost too late to plant now...and hot too!  I will have to take pictures to post.  (-:

Here is another swap that was in the monthly swap.  Frankie was included a bit early in the year but he is definitely creative!  The Top Note die is the head and part of the hair.

Happy Stamping!

Club Project Top Note Purse update

Colors:
Cherry Cobbler
Gumball Green
Very Vanilla

Supplies:
3" circle die
Scallop Circle die
Top Note die
Gumball Green ribbon, 8"
Large Pearls
Miracle Tape (not Snail or it will fall apart)
Punch, Five Petal Flower
Velcro type dots

  1. Cut out two Top Notes in Cherry Cobbler and two in scrapbook paper.  Carefully trim around the "stitching edges" of the scrapbook paper top notes.  Mount them on top of the Cherry CS.  You can trim a wee bit off the top of both Top Notes for a flat edge when you open the purse or leave them curved.
  2. Cut out Cherry Cobbler in 5 1/2 x 6".  Score down the middle (longest) at 2 1/2 and 3 1/2".  Score down the short sides at 1" on each side.  Snip the flaps and assemble the box. See picture.Be sure to use Sticky Strip!
  3. Cut out a Cherry Scallop circle and a scrapbook paper 3" circle.  Mount the 3" circle on top of the scallop circle.  Optional...punch holes in the scallops or make a dot with a gel pen.
  4. Score two lines in the center of your scallop circle at 2 3/4" and 1 5/8".  Punch holes between the score lines for your handle.  Eyelets are a nice touch.
  5. Insert one end of the Gumball ribbon into the hole and knot the end.  Do the same on the other end.
  6. Carefully mount the Top Notes to the box; use Sticky Strip.
  7. Use Sticky strip to mount the back half of the circles to the back of the purse.  On the front half put both halves of the Velcro type dots on the lip of the purse.  Shut the purse and carefully press so that the dots stick to the purse side as well.
  8. Embellish with Flowers and pearls.

Happy Dirt Day card

Sorry for such a late post but today was shopping day.  I am an avid coupon fan so it takes me a bit longer to shop.  Also, today we had our class at the nursing home.  My two children are my best helpers and always come!  LOL!  We did two cards and a Fourth of July poster for the residents doors.  I had five projects prepped but attendance was low today so I saved two of the projects for next month.  I always teach on the third Thursday of the month at Golden Living so let me know if you would like to come help.  (-:

Here is another cute card from my swap.  Connie Bjork from MN entered this swap...cute!  This will be perfect for one of my nephews on their birthday.

Angry Birds punch art

When I returned from being a counselor at Junior Camp I had several lovely surprises in my mailbox!  I had my monthly swaps and also a sneak peak of the Holiday mini catalog!  Hooray!  You are going to L-O-V-E the new Holiday mini and it is not so mini anymore!  It is a full sized magazine and chock full of wonderful things.  If you are in my clubs you can sneak a peak of mine...

This card was in my swaps and is definitely going to re-appear as a club project next month.  It has a fun fold that all of the ladies loved.  Thank you to Michelle Hornback in KY for this cute card!

Happy stamping!

PS I will have posts every day from now on.  Thanks for being patient while I was gone.  We had a blast and I am finally rested up from all of the adventures!

Club Project Bug Punch Art Card

Hello to all of you!  My internet and phone is up and working again so I can finally post again.  Hooray!

At Leadership I got this card in my swaps.  I would give the demo credit but I can't find a name anywhere on her card; she also kindly included a copied sheet of the card AND a copy of the punches needed to make the card.  WOW!

I thought it would be fun to change things up and replace the retiring items with current items.  One of the oval punches is retired and the Inspired By Nature set is retired.  She had a clever saying hand printed (?) on the card so I substituted for the new Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.  I am going to splurge and purchase the new Banners sizzix thing-a-ma-bob as well.  I have found that I simply can't live without it!  LOL!

Here is my card.

Stamp Sets:
Itty Bitty Banners
Just Believe

Colors
Gumball Green
Primrose Petals
Summer Starfruit
Basic Black
Whisper White

Punches:
Ovals-Extra Large oval, Large oval, Scallop oval, wide oval
Circles-1", 1/2", and punch pack
Bird Builder punch (legs)

Supplies:
Gel pen (for eyes)

The Open Seas 3x3 card

Hello again!  When I was creating the cards for my honey I realized that one of my layers was the perfect size for 3x3 cards so I tweaked the card a bit and voila!  These were very easy to make and the string adds a bit of texture to the card.  Don't forget...every page or card should have color, layers, and texture.

For ingredients see yesterday's blog post.

The Open Seas Masculine Card

My hubby requested some cards over the weekend and here is what I did.  (-:  I am so glad that SU decided to keep this stamp set around because it does make lovely cards that are super easy!

For my color combo I used the Color Coach.  I did purchase an addition of the new In Colors so that I would have them.  I don't know what I would do without that Color Coach!

Check back tomorrow to see how I changed this card around to make my 3x3 thank you notes for ordering $50 or more!

New MDS (My digital studio) downloads available!

View the latest downloads available here.

I love this software and rarely ever scrapbook without it.  I tend to use the hybrid method...print out the
8 1/2x11 page and then mount it on a 12x12 page.  I print out on glossy paper and mount on a colored page.  I can mount embellishments as I wish around the 12x12 page.

PS I am sorry for not posting yesterday.  I intended to post this one yesterday and I had another for today...  Yesterday was Alysson's big birthday party and we had 19 kiddos racing through our house.  LOL!  They all had a ball and nothing was broken (including children) so I count it a success!  We had a scavenger hunt (outside) as well as balloon races (outside), play time (outside),  and other games (outside).  See any patterns?  (-:  Everyone had fun and I only needed to apply one bandaid...truly a miracle with that many girls!

Ethan had a few friends over to occupy him also.  I still had to keep an eye on them because Ethan was dressed as a Native American complete with war paint and feathers.  His closest friend was a commando and they were armed to the teeth with fancy Nerf squirt guns.  Most of you can guess why I had to keep an eagle eye out for the "advancement of the troops"!  LOL!  I am confident that the boys enjoyed their "unbirthday" party and, for the most part, steered clear of bows and lip gloss wearing screaming banshees.  I think I will have to warn the neighbors ahead of time because the noise factor was extremely high and it was not from my guys!

Thank you to everyone who wished Alysson a happy birthday.  Her ninth birthday was fun and she ended up with two family bday parties and one friend party.

Happy stamping!
